Lindsey Crossmier joined the RetireGuide team in 2022 as a writer to promote long-lasting financial literacy. She leverages her creative background, editorial experience and financial education from Yale to write retirement-focused financial content for those ready to prepare for their futures.
Lindsey specializes in writing content about life insurance, Social Security and certificate of deposits (CDs) on RetireGuide. Her expertise has landed her quotes on GOBankingRates, Yahoo! Finance and AOL. Making complex information simple and accessible for all is her specialty.
Lindsey graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in English. In 2023, Lindsey completed a Financial Markets course offered by Yale University. The course provided an introduction to risk management and behavioral finance principles to understand the real-world functioning of securities, insurance and banking industries.
Prior to joining RetireGuide, she worked as an editorial intern for The Florida Review, a national nonprofit literary journal, where she helped select pieces for publication. Theme, relevancy and accuracy were instrumental in her selection process.
As a writer and editor for Bookstar PR, she connected thousands of readers to influential books. She collaborated with the CEO and co-founder of the digital book marketing company to enhance their new app, Booky Call, which now has over 100,000 downloads.
While curating content for Booky Call, Lindsey conducted extensive research, including analyses of financial topics. Her feedback in app structure and formatting for Graph CMS helped lead to the app’s success.
